The Coffee Chat platform is an application that enables users to create a profile and connect with other users to establish professional connections featuring smart matching algorithms and meeting scheduling.
Introduction
Coffee Chat is a platform designed to revolutionize the way professionals network and build meaningful connections. My team’s goal for Coffee Chat Phase 2 was to improve upon the current design and features and add a chat feature. By adding a real-time chat feature, Coffee Chat promotes long-term mentoring relationships as well as creates more meaningful engagement with our users.
Usability Testing
Prioritization - User Impact vs Dev Effort
Usability testing revealed no major usability concerns, however left room for optimization which was prioritized by charting the concerns by the user impact relative to the effort of the team.

By providing icebreakers for connections, Coffee Chat helps alleviate Alex and other users’ anxieties about starting conversations with their connections. These icebreakers and conversation starters enable Alex to either send that exact message, or get inspired by the topics and edit the message to fit his needs.
